The MEMA Technology Council (MTC) is a professional peer group of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association. Note: The MTC was formerly the MEMA Information Services Council (MIS Council).

Members are managers and executives from AASA and HDMA member companies and have responsibilities for information technology, e-commerce, supply chain, product management, category management, customer engagement/relations, continuous improvement, finance, data management, operations and business development.

Message from the Chairman

Technology continues to increase in importance for all automotive and heavy duty parts, chemicals and tool/equipment suppliers. This is especially true with customer requirements, data management, access to timely business intelligence, cost reductions and many other areas. The MEMA Technology Council is the home for executives, managers and professionals from aftermarket suppliers who have anything to do with technology.

We at SMP value our membership in the MTC and have reaped far more in benefits than the small $750 membership dues cost us. We have used the Customer E-commerce Matrix, learned from the many special reports and webinars, always gain a lot of insight at the council’s events and conferences, and have utilized our council contacts multiple times just to compare notes on software applications and industry standards.

The MTC board of governors has worked hard to expand the focus of the former MIS Council to address all things technology related. We invite your input on areas that should be covered, and I encourage you to join the MTC, participate in its two annual events and help generate true benefits for the Council and for your company.
