MEMA’s INFORMATION SERVICES COUNCIL Creates FORUM FOR open dialogue among Aftermarket IT Professionals
Research Triangle Park, N.C., July 7, 2005- An assembly of aftermarket information technology (IT) and information services (IS) professionals will meet in southwest Florida this fall to discuss key IT and e-commerce issues affecting the aftermarket. Hosted by MEMA’s Information Services Council (MIS Council), the 2005 Fall Conference will take place Sunday, Oct. 16 through Wednesday, Oct. 19.
The MIS Council Fall Conference is a forum for industry interaction, education and dialogue regarding matters of common interest to IT/IS professionals, e-business managers and related executives in automotive manufacturing companies. The intimate environment and program structure of the MIS Council Fall Conference facilitates dialogue among attendees and presenters and encourages in-depth discussions among aftermarket IT/IS professionals.
“One of the highlights of the MIS Council Fall Conference is the exchange of information and collective problem solving among peers,” said Chris Gardner, MIS Council Director. “Each year attendees walk away with valuable information they can implement at their companies. “
This year’s program includes presentations and break out sessions on current IT and e-commerce issues, including an industry data warehouse, data security, VMI, Internet parts ordering and aftermarket extranets. Attendees also will help determine the winner of the 2005 Aftermarket Web ChallengeTM- the aftermarket’s oldest and most recognized Web application competition.
Open to all aftermarket IT/IS/e-commerce professionals, this year’s conference will be held at the Marco Island Marriott Resort in Marco Island, Fla. Additional information on the conference, including the full agenda and online registration is available at www.miscouncil.org/conferences/fall05.html.
